Capstone Experience Update
Capstone Experience Update
If you saw my last update, then you are already aware that I was able to submit my capstone portfolio and the grant application. Which means the majority of my capstone project is already done. To finish up I needed to compile a grant database for the organization I was working with, write up my project and present the project.
After I submitted the grant application, I turned my focus to compiling the grant database. In theory, this sounds a little backwards. It could have been easier to compile the database then submit a grant application, but as everything worked itself out this was the way it needed to happen based on deadlines and time. I took all the notes and potential grants I found in search for a grant to submit, and started compiling those into a database. I also continued research to find other suitable calls for submission. I ended up with 10 available grants with current calls for submission, and 4 other grants with rolling deadlines or annual deadlines.
Now that I have the two main parts of my capstone completed, I am working on writing up my project and experience. I am in the draft phase of writing this all up, but nearing the finish line. The capstone experience can be overwhelming as it is a large project and it is a graduation requirement, so there is a sense of pressure in accomplishing it in a timely manner and doing it well. It is a relief every time I am able to cross a part of this project off my to-do list. Here's to the home stretch and finishing up my project 😃
