Happy Easter & Things
Happy Easter & Things
Last week we hosted the MPA Virtual Open House. It was a good event and we got to discuss the MPA to potential students. I enjoy talking to people interested in the MPA program because of how great it has been for me, and others who have shared their stories with me. It sounds cliché but earning my MPA degree has been life changing. When I graduated with my bachelors, I was uncertain what I wanted to do. I had many different interests and I believed I could have been successful in a number of fields, but none really sounded appealing as a career. I had started MPA courses while still in undergrad, and with not knowing what I wanted to do I decided to continue going to school. Since then I have learned a lot and feel confident moving into my next steps after graduation.
This week has been full of preparation for graduation. I confirmed my name on my diploma, ordered my cap and gown, and ordered my parents tickets to attend the ceremony. I have also started making plans for moving closer to home and entering into my career. While I'm not entirely sure what I will be down in the next couple months yet, I feel more confident about it all then when I graduated the first time.
With everything going on, I almost forgot that Easter is this weekend. Last night, we were able to coordinate work schedules, classes and everything to be able to color Easter eggs with my family today. There was definitely a bit of luck in pulling that off. With that, I hope everyone has a great weekend and enjoys the Easter holiday!
